that we are learning about coal mines, that the smoke from the coal is very bad for us. some coal people died from the smoke. The photo is an olden days photo they couldn't take photos in colour and used mine carts to get the coal out. Mostly strong men worked in the mines.
They are coal mining in the olden days. There are train tracks going into the tunnel and they fill the train up with coal and then they send it back out of the tunnel. It is very cold and they are starting to get really sore hands in the tunnel.

ReplyDeleteMy dad went coal mining and he found lots of stuff in the coal mine. He had bad blisters from digging.
